Supraland has been a top-rated platformer for several years now. It has metroidvania elements mixed in with Zelda and Portal vibes. That’s a pretty compelling combo right out of the gate and the community seems to have responded well to what Supra Games was able to achieve thus far.

It has been available on Steam since last year, but now, it’s finally available on consoles. For the first time ever, console gamers can see why Supraland soared to the top of the charts when it first released on PC.

The game lets you do a lot of things so you don’t really have the worry about fatigue, even after playing for hours. You can spend a lot of your time exploring the creative and whimsical environments the developer got pretty much perfect.

Or, if you’re feeling a little bold, you can go out and take down some creatures that are scattered all throughout the environments you’ll be exploring. You get to collect different resources and upgrade your character in unique ways as well. That keeps you excited about Supraland’s limitless potential.

After mastering one weapon or skill, there are plenty of others waiting to be discovered. The wide variety is impressive, but it’s the creative approach that the developer used when making them that is really impressive to see. If you can dream it, you can pretty much do it in Supraland.

It’s also refreshing to see that the developer didn’t put too much of an emphasis on story. There is very minimal to explain and that means you get to go off on your own adventures pretty much from the jump. That creates added excitement because you have no paths. You can decide where you go.

Along the way, you’ll be asked to solve puzzles. For example, you may not be able to get to a certain area until you’ve first unlocked a particular skill or resource. That means you have to figure out certain pieces of the puzzle ahead of time before actually completing it. That’s a great strategy that makes Supraland a little difficult, but very rewarding once you finally gain access to new areas that you’ve been longing to go.

All in all, Supraland is a fantastic title that is filled with so many elements. If you’ve been sad about not being able to experience its full potential on a console, now you can. There are hours and hours of fun waiting.
