“Enter the Gungeon is the legendary bullet hell dungeon crawler that follows a band of misfits who seek to shoot, loot, dodge roll and table-flip their way to personal absolution: the gun that can kill the past. Very few have accomplished this feat, and yet, the Gungeon remains.” states the official website.
Enter the Gungeon has announced the game has surpassed three million copies sold across all platforms. The developer thanked players for their support since the game’s launch in 2016. Dodge Roll isn’t finished with the title yet. They also announced additional titles are coming soon to the Gungeon world.
The game offers a variety of characters to choose from. Each character has a unique background story they’re trying to run away from or change for the better.
Enter the Gungeon, similar to its name, also offers a variety of weapons to fight enemies. The weapons include missiles, lasers, and cannonballs but also fun items like fish and bees.
The Collector’s Edition of the game includes the base game, full soundtrack featuring music by Doseone, “Microtransaction Gun” for use in-game, plus a digital comic by Dayjob Studio.
The physical retail version of the game includes the base game, stickers, a download code for the soundtrack, “Shotgun Kim” in-game skin, and a papercraft model of “Bullet Kin.”
On Steam, the title supports remote play on smartphones, tablet, tv, or through remote play.
The Apple Arcade spin-off time, Exit the Gungeon, was announced for launch on PC and consoles in early 2020. House of the Gundead is planned for release in arcades later this year.
The Apple Arcade version offers a slightly different experience. It provides slightly different gameplay and new music. The Apple version isn’t going to be exclusive long for iOS, as Dodge Roll and Devolver have already announced plans to release it for everyone soon.
Enter the Gungeon is currently available for PC through Steam, Humble, GoG, and the Epic Game Store, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One.
