PUBG Battlegrounds will be participating in a crossover event with Halloween-themed content, as announced by Krafton. It has teamed up with Behaviour Interactive to include Dead by Daylight, an asymmetrical survival horror game, into the popular battle royale genre.
This is a surprise choice of crossover, as it involves an entirely different game that may even be seen as a direct competitor in the live service market. However, PUBG Battlegrounds could pick better partners for a Halloween crossover event.
Those who aren’t aware of Dead by Daylight should know that it is a competitive asymmetric multiplayer game in which one powerful Killer faces off against four survivors trying to escape a nightmare arena. Since its debut in 2016, Behaviour has added more than 15 new Killers to the game through original characters and crossovers with other concepts. However, due to licensing restrictions, players of PUBG Battlegrounds can rest assured that the crossover will feature only authentic Dead by Daylight characters.
Several pieces of Dead by Daylight-themed content will be included in the PUBG Battlegrounds crossover event. With four complete costumes, four more masks, three backpack skins, a new pan skin, and a nameplate, it’s clear that this game has some seriously impressive cosmetics. While there won’t be much in the way of cosmetics that can be earned in-game, Dead by Daylight should still offer some amusing offerings for Halloween enthusiasts willing to pay a few more dollars.
PUBG Battlegrounds players have the opportunity to participate in Survive the Hunt from October 21 through November 7. Earn a Dwight Unknown Lone Survivor Outfit after one round, a Dead by Daylight spray after five rounds, and a Nurse mask based on one of Dead by Daylight’s most infamous villains after ten kills as a Killer.
Additionally, you can purchase Dead by Daylight cosmetics from October 20 to about December 7.
