The Legendary Pokémon Dialga and Palkia have been given dinosaur proportions in a fan-created Pokémon image. In addition, each Pokémon has been given an “Origin Forme” in the latest Pokémon Legends: Arceus version.

Legendary Pokémon like Dialga and Palkia have a special place in Pokémon’s ever-expanding cast. First, the creatures are the icons of the Diamond & Pearl games and their remakes. Together, they make up two-thirds of the “Creation Trio,” traditionally regarded as masters of time and space. In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, they were openly worshipped as gods; for this reason, however, the Diamond and Pearl families confuse them with Arceus. Because of this, fan art depicting the duo—either together or separately—is frequently of high quality. For example, one fan’s depiction of Dialga from Pokémon is so detailed that it could easily pass for a photograph.

The ancient entities have been thrust into an unexpected fight in recent fan art. A user named MyFirstMissingSock on Reddit has given fellow fans a more prehistoric take on Dialga and Palkia, depicting them as two giant, long-necked dinosaur-like monsters engaged in battle.

There is a striking resemblance between Dialga and other sauropods like Brachiosaurus and Diplodocus. Both Legendaries are covered in scales, displaying an impressive amount of detail, and their designs feature gem-like components that shine in their respective colors. In addition, some imaginative fans frequently reimagine Pokémon in new contexts; in one recent piece of fan art, for instance, the Legendary Pokémon Rayquaza was transformed into a cool mech.

This magnificent work of fan art was inspired by the shared interests of the artist and their sibling. Ingeniously fusing the look of dinosaurs with the designs of Dialga and Palkia, MyFirstMissingSock has done it again. The new Legendary forms are still recognizably their respective Pokémon despite their variances; this is to be expected with every new Pokémon evolution.
