World of Warcraft‘s Mythic Dungeon International tournament is returning once more this weekend! This next installment brings us the third Cup of the EU/Asia region of the tournament.
As this will be the third Cup of the EU/Asia region, it will also be the one that sets us up to know which four teams will move onto the finals. The top four teams of both regions move onto the final, meaning that whichever four are on top at the end of this third Cup will have secured their finals spots.
You voted, and the results are in.
It's going to be Teeming and Grievous in King's Rest! 👑😰

Knowing that, we have a pretty solid idea of what four teams might be moving on – or at least, we can safely guess at two. Method EU and Perplexed have a sizeable lead, with both having secured a first and second place finish respectively in both past EU/Asia cups.
Method EU sits comfortably in the lead with 420 points. Given that the victors get 210 points per win, they would have to crash out of this next cup to not accrue enough points to continue. While not mathematically guaranteed per se, it’s a safe bet Method EU will continue on.
The same can be said for Perplexed, who sit in second with 300 points. While they’re not safe from being eliminated as far as possibilities go, it would be an incredibly massive upset for them not to be moving on.
After that, though, things get much more fluid. Deplete from Beyond and The Boys are both tied for third with 180 points, while Self Reliance and Paint for Fem sit tied for fifth. It’s a safe bet that the third and fourth team to move on will be one of these four, but as for which two it will be, that seems much harder to guess.
Afterwards, we have a few teams that seem to be all but eliminated as is. Puolukka, Couch Potato, No Snitch, and The Doppler Effect are in a four-way tie for last place with only thirty points.
Safe money would rule these teams out of moving on, but that doesn’t mean they’re completely eliminated mathematically! There’s always the chance that one of them could cause an upset, as unlikely as that may be.
The audience has also picked a fun set of challenges for this week’s tournament. We’ve placed the results of the community poll in the tweet embedded above, in which the community voted to see which affixes would challenge the teams this time around.
With the stage set, we’re all ready to see which of the contestants will make up the roster for the finals. We’ll have to wait until the end of next weekend’s third NA cup to know the full finals roster, but this weekend will finally tell us half of our contestants!
