A new blog post has been released following details of Professor Willow’s research into the villainous Team GO Rocket. This research burst put out seems to be leading the players into a brand new event focused on Team GO Rocket. This event is after the full release of the Team GO Rocket grunts as they started taking over Pokestops. Players have fought bravely, but a new shadow may be looming over the world.
The report titled Willow Report: Looming in the Shadows has had its first installment as of October 22. This new installment is all about Mysterious Components, which are as puzzling and mysterious as their name suggests.
⚠️ Attention, Trainers! ⚠️ Willow reports he’s discovered strange objects Team GO Rocket Grunts drop upon defeat in battle. Stay tuned! As the threat of #TeamGORocket escalates, we’ll be sharing updates from Professor Willow as they come in. https://t.co/OeAGDLvMKN pic.twitter.com/iXpFp5WYn3

The report starts with Willow explaining that he found these strange objects left over after Team GO Rocket Grunts were defeated at Pokestops. The objects are made of metal and cold with a glass screen that radiates a light-purple color. Now the image provided makes it look like a simple tablet or data storage device, and no doubt fans are already theorizing their use, but Willow does not have an answer as to what it is.
The best Willow offers is: “I had a hunch that the Team GO Rocket Grunts were using some sort of device to take over PokéStops and collect resources. Based on what I know so far, these Mysterious Components I’ve found seem to be able to serve that purpose. But considering how advanced this technology is, there must be another use for it.”
A recently released data-mine does hint that a new event could be on the horizon for Pokemon Go. This new event would focus on Team GO Rocket and their team leaders with players fighting to stop their spread. There is a small hope for Giovanni to make an appearance that is reinforced by code found within the data-mine.
The data-mine reveals code for both a Team Leader Map and a Giovanni Map, although details as to what this means are currently unknown. This all is expected to start with collecting these Mysterious Components by fighting Team Go Rocket at varying Pokestops.
There is tons that fans do not know about what is coming in Pokemon GO’s future, but one thing is for sure, the game only gets batter. Pokemon GO will be adding ranked Battle League PvP early in 2020, and an upcoming Legendary Raid hour is scheduled for 6-7 P.M. October 23 in your local time zone.
With the sounds of map fragments and weird tech being thrown around, there is no doubt that November will be an interesting month for the Pokemon community.
