Earlier last week, Warhorse Studios announced they were releasing a set of modding tools for Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

The modding tools were one of the last releases for the game after the “A Woman’s Lot” DLC starring Henry’s childhood friend Theresa.

PR Manager for Warhorse Studios, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, stated: “With the modding tools released, we are hoping to motivate our community to make their mark on medieval Bohemia. People will be able to exchange or add new elements to the game, write their own quests, or even completely graphically overhaul the game. We are really looking forward to seeing what our community comes up with.”

The modding tools are part of a collaboration with the enormous modding site Nexus Mods, which offers a vast library of mods for many games. The modding tools are free and easy to install. All a modder has to do is download the tools, unzip the file, and place the contents into their game folder.

Modding for a new game can be scary at first. Warhorse Studios realizes that some may not know how to work these new tools.

The developer announced they are releasing a series of tutorials just for their modding tools. The first tutorial video was released on Youtube on November 1st.

The first video covers writing the first script. Players should devote time to watching the tutorial, as it’s almost 16:30 long. The detailed video shows gamers what they’ll need to do to get started with scripting, from start to finish.

The modding tools come with a modified version of the Cryengine sandbox. They include a dozen different tools and editor extensions.

For those who need more information on how to use the modding tools before future tutorial videos are released, it’s all on Nexus Mods. Warhorse Studios has provided descriptions for all the tools, including instructions on how to use them.

Modders can also ask the Kingdom Come: Deliverance community for help in the discussion area.

Warhorse Studios has provided amateur and seasoned modders everything they’ll need to get started creating new adventures for Henry in Kingdom Come: Deliverance.

While new content for Kingdom Come: Deliverance from the developer isn’t likely in the future, there’s plenty of fanmade content for PC players coming soon from the modding community.
