So, someone just dropped that apparently inappropriate way of playing Valorant in a clip, and oh-my-god, it’s just as chaotic as anyone would have expected. According to U/cykablayt, that was pure trolling gameplay of next-level proportions, and now you ask yourself if Riot Games saw it coming. Spoiler alert: Probably not.
The wild part of the video—sorry, but we can’t embed it here, just trust us, it’s mad—shows one Valorant rogue running around in circles, throwing abilities at walls, and pretty much having a good time otherwise than attempting to plant the spike, or scoring any kill. That somehow poses a question: Is this fun, and am I actually doing it wrong?
Usually, one would expect a barrage of roast comments trickling down from that clip; rather, a defender or two pitching in. In this case, however? A very weird case. The tweet projects, essentially, a -ZERO- replies meter.
Just an expanse of silence where at least a “bruh”, or, “this is why I don’t solo queue,” should have been. Perhaps everyone just went dumb from shock, made possible by the absence. Maybe a wave of players dashed into queueing over whatever strategy it is they test for themselves.
The community was supposed to vent their disapproval quickly about clutches, abilities, or just chilling over objective. But right now? Just crickets. This speaks even more for the hilarity than the video clip does. Were the valorants of the day just silenced at the audacity to call it “intended”? Or are they simply tired of explaining why they shouldn’t ult for the memes?
In short, the clip is yet another validation that however much you want to codify how the rules apply in the utmost competitive shooter like Valorant, there will always be certain players that will find ways to break them. Be it trolls, weird angles, goofing—the community always finds a new way to keep it fresh. And, quite frankly? We’re here for it.
Don’t forget: When you catch somebody doing something ridiculous during the next match, it could very well be “by the book.” Or maybe they just are a pest. Either way, it’s content.
