Riot Games has unveiled a new bundle for VALORANT Mobile, and the PC players are positively amazed by it. This is no joke. A skin set from a VALORANT leak took out the chance to showcase the new VALORANT skins while the players’ reactions were very mixed—a totally different vibe.
What actually is the new bundle? One tweet was about “VALORANT Mobile New Bundle” and it was accompanied only by a link, but the replies to the tweet are a different story! People were very much enthused along with the confusion and jealousy of the PC Master Race that they could not help but express it in the replies.
Players have been calling the situation “release” and “beta testing” for the upcoming VALORANT Mobile in their regions. A user named glow_in_snow directly inquired, “IS THERE VALORANT MOBILE????” which is quite a common question, assuming the beta is not in the particular region. So this question of confusion has prompted more questions like the one from rawwwwbertt who wanted to know, “When is Mobile coming to the US?” and WaterSlycer just simply asking, “How do I play on mobile?” It is quite clear that demand exists but the global release is still on the waiting list.
But, it is all about the skins when it comes to the deal, the main event. Gamers are picking up a certain groove and they are not happy at all. RigueZReal almost howled like a wolf in the darkness that “WHY ALWAYS EVERY SINGLE MOBILE GAME HAS 10x BETTER SKINS THAN PC????” And this person is not alone in his case. yxxsin went a bit further by asking, “so riot just hates pc players then?” Ouch. The reply from etrnlxo who was commenting, “we’re giving the mobile users a better bundle than we’ve gotten all year 😭,” was a very loud echo of the same feeling.
A gaming vibe check has been done for the PC version.
Nevertheless, the discussion is not entirely on the appearance. xuhefps brought up one specific dissatisfaction, asking, “Why can’t pc don’t get this type of animations for finishers lol.” It seems mobile might receive some brighter and more meticulous effects while the PC gamers can only wish for them. Amidst all the confusion, AmiaMizu25 had a clear and simple demand: “bring it to pc.” This is the demand of a lot of players.
But wait, there is a plot twist! Some responses have revealed the reasons behind this. A user by the name of JokerInS leaked some information and claimed that it is “totally under Tencent not the global riot and tencent always cooked hard when it comes to mobile market.” Another user, Hazib787, backed up Joker’s claim by telling another player, “Because The Valorant Mobile exclusive skins are made by Tencent Not Riot.” It appears that it is the parent company, Tencent, instead of Riot, that is calling the shots and intentionally making life difficult for PC gamers since they are the ones challenging the mobile market with their superb designs. Still, it makes sense. Tencent knows the ins and outs of mobile gaming.
On the other hand, some people do not get angry, they just get excited. tyllerzzz was just amazed, “WHT THIS IS SO SICK.” And Techc0nix saw dollar signs tweeting, “time to buy 🤑.” greeninsane14 even found the humorous aspect of it by comparing the present situation to Apex Legends Mobile, saying “This is happening all over again but in valo, lmao I’m all in for it 😭.”
The entire thing has the “Wild Rift” treatment vibes to a great extent, as pointed out by breadmadebygods who described the phenomenon of mobile games getting exclusive, often very well-polished, content that the main platform misses out on as the case of whales getting left behind. It is really creating a curious divide in the community before the mobile version has completely unveiled.
The question is “What is the best way forward?” To linger on a set of very stunning skins that are still confined to a platform not available to a large part of the player base and on a PC community that feels a bit neglected. The bundle is very much the hottest thing and there is absolutely no disputing it. But the main concern is the communication it has caused. Players are demanding a global release, questioning Riot’s (or Tencent’s) skin strategy, and just simply expressing that they are feeling a certain way about the whole situation. It is a classic case of mobile envy, and it is a topic that is drawing everyone’s attention. Will Riot respond? Will we see these skins come to PC? Only time will tell, but for now, the mobile players are really having a blast while the others are merely watching from the sidelines. It gets one to think about what will come next for PlayStation and Xbox players as well.
