THE hype trailer has just been taken down by Riot Games for VALORANT Masters Toronto. The gaming community is already breaking the frenzy. They started on June 7th and will end on the 22nd, as these teams battle it out for a scarce trophy-and judging the trailer alone, it surely warrants cinematic treatment.

The official VALORANT account just teased the event with the watermark, “Reflect on your past. Own your future.” According to the reply comments, the contestants are READY. The likes of G2, Sentinels, and DRX have even issued challenges; Sentinels cheekily said, “3 masters trophies sounds pretty nice πŸ†πŸ†πŸ†.” Then G2 VALORANT trolled really hard, “Spoiler alert, it’s us.” OOH, this drama!

But the teams were not alone in slashing the vibes. Anna Demetriou, who is the voiceover of the trailer, also set the fandom on fire. User @peter_ynwa96 instantly recognised the voice: “I know that voice is that the amazing @Anna__Demetriou? Nice work AnnaπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘.” Anna responded, thanking Riot for this opportunity, which only cast fuel on the hype.

And then came the memes, because, of course, there were memes. NAVI Valorant jokingly stated that the trailer has “so many fire wallpapers,” whereas Evil Geniuses just uploaded a gif of someone screaming-A mood. Oh, and we cannot forget the man claiming a Switch 2 port. Sir, this is a VALORANT tournament.

Behind the memes and hype lies a real competition. MIBR shouted “we are ready” while Toronto VALORANT couldn’t help but call the CN Tower background in the trailer “absolute cinema.” Meanwhile, players such as @Leyend7878 are already manifesting wins for their favorite squads, tagging Heretics with the straightforward “you see this you win ok? 🀝.”

And then there is this guy, the night market guy. Right in the middle of all the esports glitz, @elitejw411 just casually dropped, “cool, when’s the night market?” Priorities, man.

Now, with Sentinels looking to claim their third Masters trophy and with G2 frumiously talking trash before the events have even started, VALORANT Masters Toronto might just be one of the most intense tournaments ever. And all thanks to that trailer for getting everyone hyped for it, who would actually win the Masters now becomes a question.
