Success and Studio Saizensen have released the official website for their upcoming game Umihara Kawase BaZooka! The website contains details regarding gameplay, screenshots, and character art.
The action game features several characters as they fight to reach the goal.
Umihara Kawase BaZooka! is the latest title in the Umihara Kawase series. The three tiles: Umihara Kawase, Umihara Kawase Shun, and Sayonara Umihara Kawase are now available on Steam. Sayonara Umihara Kawase also supports VR. Umihara Kawase Fresh!, published by Nicalis, is also available on the Nintendo Switch as a digital download of 2.0 GB. Umihara Kawase Fresh! was released last Summer for those who want to experience the latest title in the series.
The main description for the game states: “Umihara Kawase is the name of our backpacking, Japanese, sushi chef heroine armed with a fishing rod, elastic fishing line, and a fishing hook. Face fish-like enemies, conveyor belts, spikes, watery pits, time travel, and more. Collect items, and find your way to the end of each level. The deeper into this dream-like world that you venture, the more challenging the solutions and the greater the time pressure becomes. Along the way, look out for shortcuts and secret exits, and unlock bonus levels.”
There’s little additional information regarding the new game, but it will include characters from Success and Studio Saizensen’s long library of games. The official PR Twitter account from Success has retweets from the voice cast of previous games announcing their excitement to return as their favorite characters in the new title.
Success also announced a playtesting session at their official office in Tokyo, Japan.
The Nintendo Switch version of the game will be released as a physical and digital download. English-speaking fans don’t have to miss out. The Switch release includes English language support, plus Traditional and Simplified Chinese and Korean.
The game features multiplayer where one to four players can join in on the action. The game will also be online, but players will need an account with the service they plan to buy the game.
An official release date has not yet been announced, but it is scheduled for sometime in mid-2020.
Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! is scheduled to be released on multiple platforms, including PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, and the Nintendo Switch.
