The release window for the console release was also announced through a new trailer. The new trailer showcases some of the characters that appear in the game, plus some of the action-packed gameplay. Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! is an action game where players can compete against each other in unique leaves with varying platforms. The large roster of characters has unique skills, from reeling them in with a fishing rod and then launching a bazooka. Additional attacks include bombs, sword dancing, space and time dashing, or using homing bullets to defeat enemies from far away. There are even more unlisted moves players can look forward to. Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! includes single-player options plus multiplayer and local couch co-op. There are 22 in-game characters to use from various special attacks. The characters will be familiar to those who have played older Japanese games. The game universes include Umihara Kawase, the Cotton Shoot-em-up series, Ring Dream, and the PlayStation RPG classic Doki Doki Poyacchio. New characters will also be introduced into the newest installment in the Umihara Kawase series. Even after the announcement trailer was revealed, ININ Games stated that the footage was from the development build. The game is still in development as the game grows closer to release. Previously, 20 minutes of gameplay was featured in a Japanese livestream from the developer. The title is a battle-action game where players fight on a giant battlefield. Up to four players can compete against each other in online multiplayer. Umihara Kawase BaZooKa! will have a physical and digital release for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 release of the game. Players can download the digital version on PC via Steam. A new installment of the Umihara Kawase series is also launching on Steam on May 28, unfortunately not in English, but it is available to North American players. Umihara Kawase Fresh! was initially launched on the Nintendo Switch in North America in July 2019. The game is the largest entry in the series so far with over 100 stages and an appearance from Nata de Cotton from the Cotton series.
