Just today came out an Assassin’s Creed Shadows hotfix which players are talking about. They have been listening to all bug fixes for the most annoying things like instability, performance, and weird HDR glitches on PS5 Pro. And the best part, as of now, they have disabled the multi-sell feature. Oh well.

First up, stability and performance changes. Nothing spoils the atmosphere like your character all of the sudden crashing after jumping off of a pagoda. Ubisoft didn’t really elaborate, but we’ll take ‘minimal random crashes’ if we can get it.

And then there is the fix for HDR and PSSR, aka PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution for the nerds, not working quite right on the PS5 Pro. With that, no more lighting anomalies for the lucky ones who have the newly upgraded Sony console.

Fixing disappearing allies-poof! Imagine trying to sneak around a fortress just to find that your back-up decided to peace out. Now fixed, and no more solo missions when you didn’t sign up for one.

Slightly stranger: the multi-sell has been temporarily disabled with no spells of explanation. Just says that “it will be brought back later”. Perhaps it was being abused? Maybe it’s simply busted? Either way, inventory management just got a pinch more complex.

For further read, you may check Ubisoft’s blog but for most players, the rest aren’t much more fired up but about polishing the game. Not exactly wild reactions from fans yet, since they’re probably too occupied testing whether their allies stick around.

So, if you have been avoiding play because of these issues, today is the day. Fire that bad boy up, see if fixes hold, and hope the multi-sell feature comes before that inventory grows beyond recall-or just hoard everything like the digital dragon you are. Your call.

And, um, maybe next time try your disappearing allies thing pre-launch, Ubisoft? Just a thought.
