Ubisoft recently announced that its title, Anno 1800, has made some recent big milestones. The announcement was made on a news post that also outlined plans for Season 2 of the game.

In the news post were graphics that outlined the recent successes of the game. One of those milestones included reaching more than one million players less than nine months after Anno 1800 was released. This makes Anno 1800 the fastest-selling title in the series.

“Welcome to the 19th century, a time of industrialization, diplomacy, and discovery, Rich with technological innovations, conspiracies, and challenging allegiances, this era presents the perfect setting for classic Anno gameplay. Anno 1800 provides players many opportunities to prove their skills as a ruler as they create huge metropolises, plan efficient logistic networks, explore, settle new lands, and dominate their opponents by diplomacy, trade, or warfare.” states the game’s official summary.

Ubisoft listed additional stats related to the game. They include players settling more than 22 million islands where more than 44 billion residents reside.

The top 3 most constructed buildings, outside of the farmer residences, were the warehouse, sheep farm, and fire station. More than 200,000 completed the World Fair buildings.

The top 3 most constructed ships were the Ship-of-the-line, Frigate, and Schooner. Ubisoft also added a comment that gamers might have overlooked the steamships.

Some players have enjoyed the game so much that they’ve crossed the 1,000-hour playtime milestone.

Ubisoft also posted a few stats of their own, including posting more than 200 blog posts so far. Of those posts, fans have posted more than 18,000 comments.

As thanks to fans for supporting Anno 1800, update 6.3 includes a free ornament from Ubisoft as a special “Thank You for Playing.”

By week one of the game’s launch, it already hit several milestones. Ubisoft announced that it was the fastest-selling title in the series. In the first week, there were 6,990,370,693 combined citizens across playthroughs, 3,285,250 settled islands, 282,300 battlecruisers constructed, and much more.

The game was well-received at launch, outselling the previous title, Anno 2205, which was released in 2015.

Months after Anno 1800 has launched, fans have shown their adventures aren’t over yet.

Anno 1800 is available now for PC. Season 2 was released on March 24.
