Not so great, really. That was Twitch‘s promo for the Elden Ring gamers. On the streaming channel, a special Wylder Badge was announced that gamers could earn by downloading and sharing their favorite clips of Elden Ring, and the replies to that announcement? Man, they went astray quicker than a Tarnished plummeting off a cliff in Lands Between.

So, what really is the deal? Essentially, Twitch is asking players to save their best moments-or rage-worthy, absolutely silly ones- from Elden Ring before those memories fall into oblivion. Share those moments, and you get the badge. So easy, isn’t it? But no. The comment section suddenly turned into a blazing battlefield, as if it were the arena of the Fire Giant.

One thing for sure, people are still mad about Hasan Piker; really mad in fact. Replies ranged from “Twitch is a terrorist platform” to “Where’s my Hamas badge?,” while some users accused Twitch of promoting political streamers; others questioned if it was “safe for Jews to upload without getting roasted.” Pretty dark. But hey, that is Twitter for you.

Now onto the chaos team. User Ian Tedd (aka b0unc3r_ttv) practically screamed his lungs out about breaking records and demanding recognition for…drinking? Roth Sothy replied with a random hippo emoji plus the #EldenRing hashtag, because why not? Then parasitic MAX POWER turned around and used the opportunity to make yet another self-promotional ad reminiscent of one from 1998. Classic.

Hidden within all of the chaos were a few gems. IronRedSandHive gave a thoughtful analysis calling clip sharing a “strategic play for community expansion.” Then, amid the madness, were some wholesome vibes for “CaseOh’s beautiful mama.” Just… pure digital whiplash.

The Wylder Badge is in any case up until June 3. So if you’re looking to cha-ching your collection of UR bad tokens or just can’t get enough of Elden Ring, then now’s your time. But be warned: Diving into those replies might have you reaching for a Flask of Crimson Tears to heal.

The Twitch promise to hype the Elden Ring community just gave off some seriously bad vibes, but hey, at least that spared us from anything hot-tub-meta-alright? That is a win, arguably. Ahem! While we’re at it, let’s watch those Malenia kill clips some more.
