When you think of games featuring larger than life mechs that can cause total destruction in seconds, Titanfall is probably the series that comes to mind.
It features mech battles better than most and has thus gone on to achieve a loyal following over the years. The original Titanfall was amazing and Respawn Entertainment followed it up with the highly popular Titanfall 2.
It has been out since 2016 and is certainly beloved by many. It then comes as no surprise to see it have a huge resurgence after having just been added to the Steam library.
It’s just one of the many games that Electronic Arts is putting on the platform as a way to get their titles in the hands of as many gamers as possible.
Titanfall 2 hasn’t been on Steam for very long, but already it’s becoming a top seller. It also has a substantial concurrent player number figure. This second wave of momentum isn’t surprising considering all of the great elements found in this first-person shooter.
If you haven’t yet played it, checking it out on Steam may be the way to go. You’ll get to experience a lot of great things like a detailed single-player campaign, fun multiplayer, and an amazing selection of titans and pilots.
There are many in the industry that claim Titanfall 2 as being one of the best first-person shooters, even still in 2020.
It certainly is the pinnacle of the series thanks to the addition of a pretty fleshed out single-player campaign. There are plenty of characters to grow attached to and compelling missions that will keep you on the edge of your seat. The campaign lasts roughly six hours, featuring sprawling environments that are just so fun to explore and traverse through.
The multiplayer has also been a beloved aspect of this game. The diversity gives online players so much content to look forward to. From deathmatch to free-for-all, there are limitless possibilities once you get done playing the campaign.
Respawn also took the time to make shooting and movement even more immersive and fun. It’s great that EA is taking the liberty to add Titanfall 2 and other similar great titles to Steam. More PC gamers will be able to check out hidden gems that they may not have known about or ever thought of playing.
And for the Titanfall series, the addition is huge. It may get the buzz going again for the franchise, possibly motivating Respawn to follow up with a third entry. Here’s to hoping.
