If a recent leak turns out to be correct, MultiVersus might be updating the game very soon with Mark Hamill’s Joker as a playable character. Even though he is best recognized for his part as Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films, Hamill holds the distinction of having one of the most memorable voice roles in the history of film. The actor gave a memorable performance as the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series, establishing himself as the definitive voice of the character in media other than live-action movies.

Because of the immense popularity of Hamill in character, he has appeared in various cartoons, animated films, and even video games, such as the Batman Arkham series. Since Hamill and the actor who plays Batman, Kevin Conroy, are nearly intertwined, and Conroy’s version of Batman is already featured in MultiVersus, it only seems natural to include the Joker.

A file for a Joker announcer pack was found in MultiVersus and was spotted by the user LaisulMV on Twitter. This indicates that the character would serve in no other capacity but that of a voice commentator; yet, one has to assume that WB would go the extra mile and create both a voice commentator and a playable character. Hamill’s delivery is as flawless as it has always been, and he gives an unpleasant, bloody twist to an otherwise vibrant game.

There has been no confirmation or hint given about when Joker will be included in the game. Therefore it is currently unknown when he will be playable. Given that Batman and Harley Quinn are already present in MultiVersus, it seems only natural to round out that trio in the not-too-distant future. It would appear that Rick Sanchez, a character from the show Rick and Morty, will be the next character to be introduced.
