Fans have created a demake of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in a Nintendo 64 style. Recently, a teaser announced Tears of the Kingdom as the official name and release date for the sequel to Breath of the Wild. The game is scheduled for release on May 12, 2023. After the events of Breath of the Wild, Hyrule has been altered, and this game will follow Link as he explores this new world.

Since its original reveal at E3 2019 as an untitled successor to Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom has been eagerly anticipated. Since then, Nintendo has kept the sequel under wraps, with the following trailer not arriving until 2021. However, the game’s title and release date were recently announced at a Nintendo Direct, and they are both Tears of the Kingdom and May 2023. According to Zelda Dungeon, digital artist Jackarte has uploaded an N64-style demake of the latest Tears of the Kingdom trailer to YouTube. The demake follows the new video beat-for-beat, replicating its images in an incredibly realistic recreation of the visuals of the N64. Fans of the series won’t see what Tears of the Kingdom have to offer until May 2023, when the game is scheduled for release. However, artists like Jackarte may provide fans who can’t wait for the game’s release a glimpse of the past by depicting it in a retro style, as it might have looked on the N64.
