Even though Sonic Frontiers won’t be available for purchase until the following month, Sega is already marketing the game with a free piece of DLC that should be thrilling for lovers of the Dreamcast console. Players who join up for the game’s newsletter will be given a code that can be redeemed for a pair of shoes in the game that is modeled after the 2G Hi-Speed Shoes found in Sonic Adventure 2.

Although the original shoes were designed as part of a relationship with Soap and are generally known as Soap Shoes, the Sega website does not make any particular allusions to the shoe brand that has now gone out of business. After the game has been made available to the public, the subscribers will receive the code.

Since the release of Sonic Forces in 2017, the franchise has been waiting for a major installment like Sonic Frontiers. Fans of Sonic the Hedgehog have been patiently waiting for the arrival of Frontiers even though Forces was met with a mixed review upon its initial release.

Frontiers appear to have the potential to be the most substantial shift to the franchise since the Dreamcast era. With its open zones and the large new universe, Frontiers appears to have a lot to offer. Although there is no guarantee that something new and different will be of higher quality, there have been some promising indications that Sega intends to raise the standard of the series as a whole.

Fans won’t have to wait much longer to find out if Sonic Frontiers can live up to its promise because the game won’t be available to them for purchase for over a month! Fans are asked to make very little of a commitment in order to acquire the Soap Shoes downloadable content (DLC), which is fortunate because it can be obtained quite easily. In the big scheme of things, it is a relatively insignificant cosmetic change, but it is something that loyal followers of the blue blur will most certainly appreciate.
