In these tense and trying times, there’s nothing that helps bring some happiness in like absurdity and silliness. Thankfully, the Jester’s Festival is on the way to add just that to the world of The Elder Scrolls Online!
Bethesda’s MMORPG is full of in-game events that bring exclusive gear, cosmetic goodies, and bonuses for participating. The Jester’s Festival is the latest of the masses and will run from Thursday, March 26th until the next Thursday on April 2nd.
It’s that time of year 🤡 the Jester’s Festival is returning to #ESO! From March 26 to April 2 you can partake in the silliest celebration across all of Tamriel. https://t.co/UK2s9NbiKh pic.twitter.com/6eJko4tE3S

So what can you do during the Jester’s Festival other than revel in absurdity? To begin, you’ll want to journey to one of the pavilions located outside the cities of Ebonheart, Daggerfall, and Vulkhel guard. You can also just pick up the starter quest for free in the in-game Crown Store if you’re having difficulty finding a pavilion. Once there, start a conversation with a jester and complete the intro quest to obtain the Pie of Misrule memento, which gives you double experience for two hours.
There’s more than one two-hour buff to celebrate with, of course. Each time you complete a quest for the event, you’ll receive a Reward Box with a variety of goodies inside. You might earn consumables, some recipes, a few furnishings, or even more Revelry Pies, as well as a chance to find valuables that you can sell for gold.
Every time you complete a Jester’s Festival quest for the first time in a day, you receive a Stupendous Gift Box, which can include some more powerful gifts, including the following:
- Cadwell’s Kitchen Arms Style Pages
- Fragments of the Festive Noise Maker or Jester’s Festival Joke Popper
- Jokey Stealies to sell to vendors for quick cash
- Runeboxes with the Cherry Blossom Branch and Jester’s Scintillator mementos
- Fragments of the new Sovereign Sow pet
On top of goodies, you have a few event-specific Achievements you can earn. Each of these are based around throwing pies in faces, including tossing pies into the faces of the Alliance Leaders. You’ll also earn event tickets to unlock some treats from the Impresario, including the four Indrik Feathers and Spectral Indrik Berries, the Spectral Indrik pet, and a few others. The Impresario also offers a Group Repair Kit, which allows you to repair the gear that members of your parties are wearing – perfect for your tank that keeps forgetting to repair before the dungeon starts!
There’s plenty of absurdity to go around, so make sure you’re ready to hop into the Jester’s Festival on March 26th and enjoy some merriment.
