After seven well-fought games of League of Legends, T1 finished the season as the 2020 LCK Spring Split champions. There were many reasons for T1’s triumph, including talented jungler Moon “Cuzz” Woo-chan, who ended the postseason with the highest KDA among all playoff participants. Cuzz joined T1 this past offseason after the team lost top laner Kim “Khan” Dong-ha, jungler Kim “Clid” Tae-min, and longtime head coach, Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun. The loss of multiple key players—plus the departure of the team’s beloved coach—had many people doubting T1’s strength. But after a few weeks into the regular season, it was clear that this team had plenty of firepowers to keep up with some of the new powerhouses that had formed in the LCK. For example, Cuzz had a strong season performance, leading all junglers in KDA and team damage percentage. Cuzz came from the hype chamber known as Longzhu Gaming, where he has been considered one of the best players. His team play and knowledge is extremely valuable and proves very useful to his new organization, T1. Even though many doubted this acquisition and T1's lack of ability to hold onto their talent of Cuzz and Khan, after finishing on the second place in the regular split and sweeping two teams, T1 looks as unstoppable as ever. Even Gen.G, the new team of the former T1 jungler, Clid could not put a stop to T1's domination. T1 managed to secure their third playoff win in a row, looking to reach Team Liquid's record of four wins in a row. Playoff T1 transformed into a different beast entirely. Through seven games, the entire roster only suffered 40 deaths as a team, and four of the five highest KDAs in the postseason belonged to T1 members. The team lost only one game to DragonX and swept the finals against Gen.G. Unfortunately for T1 fans, we won’t be able to see this roster play against the best teams in the world at the Mid-Season Invitational this year, but they’ll have plenty of time to prepare for the 2020 Summer Split and the World Championship soon after. While the current plans for the World Championship 2020 are unannounced, the hope stays with the medicine word to find a solution to the COVID-19 virus which has covered the entire globe in quarantine.
