Several possible Easter eggs in Grand Theft Auto 6 have been revealed in a new YouTube video that analyses the freshly leaked footage, including a reference to Pennywise the Clown from It. Early this year, Rockstar Games officially announced that Grand Theft Auto 6 was in development, ending years of fan anticipation and speculation. Nonetheless, the developer was soon in the news for another reason: a hacker released fewer than 90 GTA 6 videos in September.

Take-Two Interactive, the game’s publisher, immediately began ordering the removal of the leaked film from official GTA fan forums, sending shockwaves through the internet and gaming industry. Rockstar strongly disapproved of the leak, but they eased concerns that stealing source code in the same hack would delay work on GTA 6.

Even still, since the stolen tape surfaced the previous weekend, viewers have been devouring it. Leaked footage contained multiple references to the Miami stand-in. It included two playable characters, a male named Jason and a woman named Lucia, lending credence to claims that Vice City would serve as the game’s location and that the game’s heroine would be a woman. In addition, information about weaponry and combat was leaked from Grand Theft Auto 6, which may have been inspired by Rockstar’s previous game, Red Dead Redemption 2.

The Grand Theft Auto games frequently make allusions to other games in the series and other pop culture references. Easter eggs from Red Dead Redemption can be found in Grand Theft Auto and vice versa. For example, a concealed allusion to Vice City in GTA Online had fans wondering if it was a preview of GTA 6.

Additionally, there are hints that the storylines of Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Redemption are connected, with Bigfoot showing up in optional missions and the time traveler in RDR2 being linked to GTA’s Epsilon Program.
