The 10th Anniversary for Star Trek Online is now live as the Legacy Event has begun. This new celebration brings with it tons of new content, episodes, equipment, and prizes for fans of the popular Star Trek MMO. The update comes from a ton of work as it goes to unify Star Trek fans after 54 years of Star Trek adventures.
Star Trek Online has maintained a constant community that grows with time. As movies and new series launch, the Star Trek fandom only grows. This game has the blessing of being the only Star Trek MMO on the market, and it provides a fairly authentic experience of interplanetary peacekeeping.
A brand new two-part episode has been added titled “The Measure of Morality.” Players return to the planet Excalbia, first appearing in the Original Series episode “The Savage Curtain,” and will commence another test of Good and Evil.
Players will take a major role in this test, but a familiar ally will be aiding them this time. Seven of Nine returns with the voice of Keri Ryan, and for the first time ever, Sonequa Martin-Green will join, bringing the character Michael Burnham to life before fan’s eyes.
Bringing together characters from the past and future reminds fans of the origins of Star Trek Online. It is only through these vents that fans will be able to live the adventure and see the impact of every generation of the series all in one place.
The event is bringing with it a major prize for fans. The Khitomer Alliance Battlecruiser is the first ship to ever combine Federation and Klingon technology. It was created as a sign of peace between the two empires and the beginning of new dawn across the entire galaxy. Players can earn this unique ship by participating in the returning Omega Molecule Stabilization Event, by completing Measure of Morality, or by participating in the brand new Task Force Operation titled “To Hell With Honor.” It is time to bring your ship to a distant moon and battle one of the largest enemies to ever appear in the game.
The Bord Lock Box is being added to the game’s store. Inside, you can find Hugh’s ship, upgraded for a new era, called the Borg Juggernaut. There will also be new powers for your Captain, including the ability to assimilate enemy ships and bend them to your will.
For this and more event goodness you can find Star Trek Online on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. It is free to play, and the event requires no money to take part in. Feel free to battle your way through all odds and earn the new Battlecruiser for yourself.
