Square Enix has announced a new mobile game set in the Kingdom Hearts universe, but has only teased the project name “Xehanort.” The name should be familiar to fans, as he is the primary antagonist of the Dark Seeker Saga.

Square Enix plans to expand on Xehanort’s past in the new game coming soon.

The announcement was made on a new Twitter account devoted to the new title. The Twitter account is named “Project Xehanort,” which means that the game’s name is still hidden in mystery.

So far, there’s little information about the game. The official website only states, “Why did he become the seeker of darkness?”

The name of the game is also being treated as a game. Square Enix has announced a new Twitter campaign to “Guess the Name.” Entering the campaign is easy to do. Fans follow the new Twitter account and reply with their guess with the hashtag #KHNameContest. The contest ended on January 28 and the winners, along with the official name of the project, will be announced on January 30.

The name has to be all ages, and any obscene content won’t be considered. Winners will be contacted through a direct message via Twitter.

Lately, there’s been more Kingdom Hearts news thanks to the third game in the trilogy. Square Enix has announced more information about what content will be included with ReMind DLC. That includes the upcoming “Data Greeting” custom photo mode so players can use their skills to take interesting photos.

ReMind is the first paid expansion pack for KH3 and will first launch on the PlayStation 4. The newest DLC tells the story of another tale that occurred during the events of KH3. Square Enix’s summary states, “Determined to rescue Kairi, Sora travels to the Keyblade Graveyard a short time before the final battle was to take place. Lacking a corporeal form, he traces the hearts of the seven guardians of light. Through experiencing their personal battles firsthand, Sora is about to discover truths that he has never before imagined.”

While players wait for more news regarding the new mobile game, they can enjoy Kingdom Hearts 3 and the new content. Square Enix will likely release more information about the new project in the next few weeks.

Any other details, such as gameplay, costs, and characters appearing in the game are not yet known.

The “Project Xehanort” mobile game will launch on the App Store and Play Store in Spring 2020.
