With this new community event for players to buzz-or groan, depending on how much they like grinding-Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is packing some heat. What’s the objective? Slay a whopping 200,000 Trygons to unlock the Mark X Tacticus breastplate. That’s right; lots of alien bugs are destined to be slashed apart.
The event runs from April 17 to 27, giving quite a time window of 10 days for some serious working out. But oh yes, PROS is a must. No one here will be crusading offline, solo style.
Now, 200K does seem a silly amount, but if there is something Warhammer fans know how to do, it is to grind it out. Whether it turns into an epic fun push for all or a tedious slog still remains to be seen, but at least the reward-sleek new breastplate-seems worth it.
A single Tweet having not even one reply seems surprising for an event. Warhammer fans usually have *link* opinions on everything. Maybe they’re sharpening their chainswords and can’t type, or still recovering from the last event. Let’s see how this plays out with some bloodletting.
So who is going to be ready for a Xenos purge? Remember to drink some water between massacres; it might just save your life. The Emperor protects; dehydration is heresy.
Anyways, if you never really knew why Trygons specifically-the developers probably just are haters, or they might actually truly LOVE them. It’s always hard to tell with Warhammer.
Anyway, mark your calendars, get your bolters stocked, and get ready for the great Trygon genocide of April 2025. For the Emperor…or whatever. Seriously, good luck; you will need it.
