Operation keepers hence an eternal topic among gamers-ever since Focus Entertainment miraculously set this question afloat-Which operation is your favorite in Space Marine 2, and why? Well, the responses? Absolutely chaotic (and Tyranids, many Tyranids.)
Now regarding the fan favorite: Inferno. Numerous players stated love for the mission, saying that it represents dynamic pacing and has great variety. “When this area turns into an open battlefield, it hits different,” said MrSkits94 along with many others. Martinicus99 elaborated, stating that the transition from jungle to industrial zones in the mission keeps everything fresh up to the explosive conclusion. RaisenVt also praised it for being great to develop team strategies: “It provides the necessary difficulty to learn how to work as a team.”
And some like Decapitation for great bosses. ZeebaXtreme117 described it as “super fun to run as a squad.” MN0Luffy said killing the Hive Tyrant “feels cool af.” Black1nferno even went so far as to say it was, “the only mission bro!” So definitely a class of its own for the hardcore.
But we shouldn’t forget Termination, a face-stomping good Tyranid mission rated high for sheer difficulty. ChimeraTamer exclaimed, “Long mission, fight xenos, fight big boss at end.” xlKanonxl took it further and said the Hierophant fight really takes things up a notch in difficulty.
The players sure had their own compelling reasons, though. Some leaned toward the Chaos missions like Fall of Atreus. Vairulv said it “rocks!” while RaisenVt said this is one of the few Chaos missions that “isn’t turned into a massive respawn of enemies.” Somehow MatrixGearss threw in a shoutout for Vox Liberatis, calling it a “good mix of heretic to kill.”
Then, there were some… funny answers. The__Cooldog and sceptic__x joked that their favorite Operations were “the ones that don’t have the Thousand Sons on it.” Yor_Treveau went full meme with “that one with the spicy graboid.” And, as for Phantom47522835? An epic speech about duty, death, and will of the Emperor.
Many even couldn’t name their favorites. PiotrZabijaka95 said, “all 9 operations are my favorite for now,” with KajiConanVT and camp23109 providing some sort of chorus to that sentiment. J_dog256 took it a step further, claiming “as long as my brother is with me, they are all my favorite.”
Now, that leaves HyruleDeath in the dust, who just mourns for the game after their PS5 literally overheated: “Pre-ordered the Switch 2, hope this game gets a port,” lamented.
So the verdict? If it’s Tyranids for you, then Inferno and Decapitation. Fall of Atreus and Vox Liberatis are for the Chaos crowd. Otherwise, pick any Operation just to go smashing stuff with your squad.
Well, with that, I have to replay Inferno for the big 50th time. For the Emperor.
