Rainbow Six Siege has been a great online tactical shooter. It came out back in 2015, but even still to this day, it receives consistent updates. Thus, players have a lot of content and new features to always look forward to. The game is about to get its Season 4 update, which is being called Shifting Tides.
According to patch notes, it’s introducing a lot of great updates and goodies. For starters, there’s a new weapon called the CSRX bolt-action rifle. It’s the first of its kind in this game, which has garnered a lot of attention for its unrivaled power. It’s so powerful — in fact — that it can penetrate seven layers of walls. Talk about a heavy-duty rifle. That should introduce a new wave of tactics from squads. One well-timed shot could theoretically hit an opponent even if they’re on the other side of the building.
This new gun is wielded by a new operator, a woman named Kali. Judging by her character model, she looks like one tough chick you don’t want to mess with. She’s decked out in black tactical gear, which gives her a menacing aesthetic.
Another interesting update is happening with most of the weapons in Rainbow Six Siege. Reports are showing that they’ll now be able to penetrate limbs and bodies like never before. Thus, if you thought Siege was already graphic, you’re in store for even more brutal combat. The new weapon system should give operators the chance to take down multiple enemies at a time with a perfect shot.
When you see enemies grouped together, firing off a lot of rounds in their direction could be more rewarding. Taking down multiple opponents at a time will certainly give your squad the upper hand in battle.
These latest updates should make Rainbow Six Siege an even better tactical shooter experience online. It’s amazing that the game continues to attract new users even to this day. The developer Ubisoft Montreal knows its fanbase well and they continually deliver amazing improvements. Who knows what they’ll introduce next?
If you haven’t had the chance to experience the intense battles or the environmental destruction, now may be the perfect time. Season 4 seems to be taking the game to new heights in the combat department, and it’s only getting better with every update. If Ubisoft Montreal can keep up with these improvements, then the sky is the limit. It’s a gift that just keeps on giving.
