Always the prettier clash of colors ASUS RoG has thrown at the gamers. Common questions since day one revolve about…⚫ROG Astral Black or ⚪ ROG Astral White? And the answers offered are anything but common.
First of all: what is the Astral Series? It’s certainly not another GPU update or a half-hearted RGB touch to it. ASUS takes raw horsepower but wraps it in a sleek package that has made all gamers drooling. The basic premise of it, though, is that you have to pick a side, either black or white. Absolute no gray area, I assure you. The answers, however? Probably too spicy.
Procrastination having set in, a challenge was thrown by ROG on Twitter: Which color is the endgame for the gamers? Response floods came quicker than you would say, “FPS drop.” Seems like white is getting a tad more appreciation, with a user @HRBomber shouting, “White is the way!!! So crisp, so clean!” Then @Chickenarla followed up with, “The white side looks gorgeous,” and now, you cannot argue with that.
That notwithstanding, the dark side ain’t going quietly. @_WECKLESS said flatly, “ROG Astral Black,” no hesitation. @Cooknn supported this with a sleek picture of his setup, saying, “Black baby. Love this.” So yeah, dark side does have some believers.
Then there are those who are really intending to base their next build around these bad boys; @Jinsei_Fruit is waiting for “white astral 5090 OC edition” to fill in the emptiness in his setup. Meanwhile, @JoHo_Gaming is just trying to figure out when they can actually buy one. Same, JoHo.
Oh! Then there are some of the other wishful thoughts of @csar_wade: “I know it’s not a giveaway, but I dreamed I won one 🙈❤️.” So legit.
A little agitation: what makes these colors so big? Well, not only is it a matter of aesthetics (though, may I say, much of it is about that). Inside, the Astral Series is heavy with hardwares, and ASUS is quite evidently pitching it to gamers who want their rigs to look as scintillating as they work. Are you a big all-white guy or consider black to be quite sleek? Either way, you really can’t go wrong.
Here is the real question: When is this going to be opened? ASUS has not committed to any date regarding this yet, but if you are to listen to all this hype, it would be sometime soon. When it does happen, however, you can rest assured that every gamer will be pushing through the barricade upon its opening to snatch their choice of color till it’s all sold out.
Except for the black-and-white statement, one thing for sure: ROG Astral Series will be the dominator of any gaming setup. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have to go stare at my current GPU and whisper, “I am sorry,” onto the upgrade anyway.
