League of Legends is constantly growing, having spent the last decade going from a modest MOBA title to one of the leading names in esports. Part of its success is the constant addition of content that Riot Games develops.
The latest of these patches is here, and it’s a doozy. Patch 10.7 includes the highly-anticipated rework for Fiddlesticks, the Ancient Terror, as well as a few alterations to other champions.
If you haven’t gotten the chance to check out the new Fiddlesticks yet, we did a write up on his new kit earlier this month. He’s being changed dramatically, though some things will be staying the same, so make sure you’re familiar with what he’ll be bringing to the rift before you hop into another match.

Along with his addition, eight champions are being buffed with this patch. Akali, Corki, Galio, Ivern, Kai’Sa, Nasus, Riven, and Xin Zhao are all getting tweaks to help them be more viable.
Some people may sigh at this, as Akali and Riven are often seen as notoriously strong, but the tweaks are small. The following changes are being made.
- Akali – The cooldown of Akali’s ult has been reduced, from 120/90/60 to 100/80/60.
- Corki – The burn duration of a direct hit with Corki’s W has been increased from 1.5 to 2 seconds.
- Galio – Galio’s R now grants a magic damage shield to all allies in the area, though Riot fails to give the details on the specific stats of the shield.
- Ivern – Ivern’s base damage of his Triggerseed has been increased to 70/95/120/145/170, and his ultimate has had its cooldown lowered to 140/130/120.
- Kai’Sa -Kai’Sa’s E, Supercharge, has had its cooldown lowered to 16/15/14/13/12.
- Nasus – Nasus’ W has had its range increased, while his E has had its armor reduction increased to 25/30/35/40/45%.
- Riven – Riven’s Base Health and Health Regen have been modestly increased to 560 and 8.5 respectively.
- Xin Zhao – Xin Zhao’s passive has had its base heal increased by a significant amount, going from 10-78 to 10-112.
And those are all the changes in terms of buffs to champions! None of them are incredibly significant, but they may have a snowball effect. Xin Zhao’s passive heal being increased is certainly notable, and the magic damage shield that Galio can now grant certainly can have a massive impact on a game.
Riven’s health alterations likely won’t have too much of an effect, though, and Kai’Sa’s cooldown on her E has barely been lowered at all, so these aren’t changes you’re likely to be able to greatly notice in your next match.
