Team Ladybug and Playism have released a new trailer along with other details for the upcoming game Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth. The game was announced in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Record of Lodoss War. The new trailer also comes with news that the game will soon enter Steam Early Access. Longtime fans of the Lodoss War series will now get to experience the game before the final version is released. "Record of Lodoss War-Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth is a 2D-style Metroidvania (action-exploration) game." states the Steam page, "Deedlit awakens suddenly in a mysterious, unknown place. Where am I? Why am I here? With nobody around to respond, her questions are met with only silence. Seeking answers, Deed eventually sets off on foot, alone..." According to the trailer, players will take control of Deedlit as she explores a labyrinth, climbs various platforms, and takes on bosses 1-on-1. As Deelit explores the labyrinth, she can discover new skills, weapons, and upgrade her current equipment. The Steam store page has little information about the game at this time. Deedlit's arsenal will include sword and arrow attacks, swappable equipment that can be sold, swappable elemental spirits, and more. Elemental spirits also have the power to level up and become stronger. Players will have a variety of ways to play to escape the Wonder Labyrinth. Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth will be available in Japanese, English, and Simplified Chinese. Record of Lodoss War was both a manga series and was later adapted into an animated series in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The series follows the structure of Dungeons & Dragons, where characters of different classes band together to take on various quests. The series itself stars Parn, the son of a dishonored knight. Deedlit is a High Elf who works with Parn as she seeks out answers to why her people are becoming extinct. The game will also include some of the characters in the series, who will aid Deedlit on her journey with helpful information.
