Ubisoft has just downloaded into Rainbow Six Siege players the latest Y10S2 patch notes and the hype remains equally legit. The grand reveal? Clutch-like high-risk operations with IQ and Clash assaulting Keres Legion HQ to extract Dokkaebi, all this while Clash is subjected to a spicy remaster-so, a little more voltage flowing inside a tactical shooter never goes wrong!

Before the full patch notes were posted, the official Rainbow Six Siege account teased an interesting dance-off on Twitter. And, as expected, the community was so opinionated. Some loved it, some were confused, and some just wanted to know why the servers were down (would never change!).

The serious lore: Dokkaebi has been in deep waters for a long time, having been kidnapped by the shadowy Keres Legion. So, IQ and Clash have kind of gone full 007 to get her back. According to @ADC3336, however, it is an “anticlimactic” situation that just two operators storm a whole paramilitary base, although maybe Keres wants them to succeed? Plot twists, people.

To be followed up by Clash’s rework: The downed defender winces the loneliest of choices-will you hate or love her? @jamal_dank said candidly, “No one asked for a Clash rework,” whereas the rest rationalized that Clash mains are found “anywhere but site” (@familyguyfan53). Yet, with the promised changes (an Elite skin coming June 12, from @VineoSM721), that Ubisoft rework is going to be largesse.

The replies took a turn for the sour. @AlpHa_VriiXx_2 complained about having faced “5 cronus/xim users” in ranked, while @just_1njustic3 demanded whether the update will finally “stop the cheaters.” And the answer? Spoiler: Nope. Meanwhile, @Savarew19V12s wondered why they got “false banned” because… yeah, Siege’s anticheat has a little enthusiasm.

Then the technical problems came into play. @RainzX910 was not even able to launch the game after the update; yeah, that’s a big one. Meanwhile, @SamuelB56424909 simply wanted to know why the servers were down. Classic, right?

Well, not every reaction was salty. @Keerurgo called Clash “the top 1 person to hang out or go to war with,” and @Aidendonut showed great appreciation for IQ’s… presence. Meanwhile, @Guilhermehbl said the cutscene was “nice,” which is a fair assessment.

So what happens next? The update will still drop on June 10 (despite all of @mjshmjsh1’s confusion), and the Clash Elite skin will follow on the 12th. And if the patch notes are to be believed, so much more happened beforehand: balance changes, bug fixes, and perhaps a few surprises.

In short: The climb is happening for Y10S2 whether the players are ready or not. Now, if only Ubisoft would patch those servers…
