Crunching Tencent-type tweet says that Rainbow Six Siege X is about to finally hit with that cryptic “See you tomorrow!” and an “explosion” emoji for good vibes. This is excitement on one side and on the other missed opportunity for the established community to reply in that weird mixture of excitement, frustration, and outright bizarre comments in true Siege spirit.
Coming in are the ecstatic replies. Players like GG3 exclaimed, “dope af,” and TN • FluXHound said, “So damn excited.” Andy Lister pleaded, “Please be great 🔥” (which is a much common sentiment), while the other side does have their reservations; SSHdEmon2 asks for “stable servers and smooth FPS,” which, surely given Ubisoft’s history, might be a big ask.
Then the plain chaos emerges. One player, Dismodest3777, just drops a random mention about coming back from a “30 peacock farm” and that he requires brain bleach now. Umm…okay? Meanwhile, Raygun Steele wonders if a “trans paraplegic in a wheelchair operator” is a thing, either being a next-level inclusivity troll or just way too specific.
The actual drama? AC2 stans are mad. Lain22 told Ubisoft, “If you brick a game, don’t sell it maybe?” That lands straight, concerning the state of how broken Assassin’s Creed II was on Steam. Pirat_Nation piled onto it that the game is still on the shelves being sold, even though it’s literally unplayable. Oof.
The MNK debate that is-mozzie solano wants Ubisoft to “ban MNK on console” while eric_532 is asking when “native MNK for console” is coming out. Pick a damn side!
And here we are halfway between Watch Dogs 4 begging(Michel Jones, we see you) and For Honor-style Star Wars, beckoning coming from Droxz_95. Why not?
So what is Rainbow Six Siege X? Is it vast? A soft reboot? A glorified patch? Nobody knows, and Ubisoft sure ain’t telling. But judging by the chaos going down in the reply section, tomorrow’s launch is either going to be a wow moment or an absolute train wreck. So anyway, grab some popcorn!
And hey, when the servers crash, we will have stories of that peacock farm at least!
(Seriously, what was even that?)
