Pokémon Home launches later this month. Nintendo has released additional information about the service, including the price tiers. Players also received news about what services will be available on which device.
Previously, Pokémon Bank cost users $5 a year and was only available on the Nintendo 3DS.

The official website has been updated with more information regarding the service. “Pokémon Home is a cloud service for Nintendo Switch and compatible mobile devices designed as a place where all Pokémon can gather. By linking the same Nintendo Account to both the Nintendo Switch version and mobile version of Pokémon Home, you’ll be able to access the same Pokémon Boxes on both versions! With Pokémon Home, you can move Pokémon between compatible games, trade Pokémon on the go, and more!”
Pokémon Home is a cross-platform service where players can transfer and store their Pokémon. There are various plans available, from a basic free version to a premium edition. Not all services are available with Switch and Mobile versions, so players will need to use Pokémon Home on the Switch and their mobile devices to enjoy the full benefits of the service.
Pokémon will be registered into the National Pokémon when they’re deposited in Pokémon Home. With the mobile version of Pokémon Home, players can check the stats of each Pokémon along with the moves they can learn. The “Judge” function allows players to check how strong they are compared to others.
In the mobile version, players will receive Mystery Gifts. Some of the gifts are based on the player’s location. The rewards can be either directly deposited into Pokémon Home or used in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Players must be 16 years old and older to use the “Local Event Check” function.
The Basic tier allows players to deposit up to 30 Pokémon, place 3 Pokémon into the Wonder Box, keep one Pokémon in the Global Trade System, and participate in Room Trade.
The Premium tier bumps up those numbers by a significant amount. Players can move Pokémon from the Pokémon Bank, deposit up to 6,000 Pokémon, place 10 Pokémon into the Wonder Box, keep three Pokémon in the GTA, participate and host Room Trades, and use the Judge function.
The Premium tier through the eShop costs $2.99 per month, $4.99 per three months, and $15.99 per year.
Pokémon Home launches this February, but the official release date is not yet known.
