Even though Nulgath is no longer officially a member of the Artix Entertainment staff, the team still celebrates this talented artist every year. And this yeah, Nulgath the Archfiend gets a party in his own in-game zone.

The Artix team has brought back Nulgath’s seasonal birthday gear and a new shop full of extremely rare items. But the shop isn’t the only place to get items.

For players who like to support the team financially with item searching, the team has introduced the first-ever Nulgath Collection Chest. Players can get all of the event rare gear, including bank pets, 8 armor sets, and a rare character page badge for 10,000 AdventureCoins. This is a set filled with double the AdventureCoin value.

The Nulgath Collection Chest grants players access to over 60 items, including Nulgath’s Larvae Gift Pet, which has a quest for the exclusive character page badge, Nulgath’s Fiendish Gift Bank Pet, Transcendent of Tercessuinotlim armor set, Dragon Tamer of Tercessuinotlim armor set, HypeFiend of Nulgath armor set, Underworld Heretic armor set, Void TideWalker armor set, Jolly Void Pirate armor set, OverSoul Paladin armor sets, which have a with and without shield version, and the Evolved Legacy of Nulgath armor set.

If players want some of these, but not all of them, players can purchase all of the gear from Nulgath’s birthday shop, apart from the exclusive pets.

However, if players want to grind these items, some of them are available to do so. Players can grind out the   Evolved Legacy of Nulgath armor set, the Transcendent of Tercessuinotlim armor set, the Void Cowboy armor set, and the Hypefiend of Nulgath armor set.

These items are hard to get, however, to match the rarity rating in the Birthday shop. But there is good news; the farming versions of the gear will be available through the end of the year.

Also coming with this event is a few updates. Asuka and his team have rebalanced quests on Drudgen the Assistant, Crag, and Bamboozle, and Nulgath Larvae, so players will have a better time getting through these questlines. This was done so to allow grinding for the Nulgath gear is easier to get, but still difficult enough to justify their rarity rating in the item shop.

Artix Entertainment really loves the work of Nulgath the artist, and they were sad to see him go in 2017. But as a “thank you” for all his hard work, as well as his continuing efforts at submitting art to the team every year, they continue to keep his character engaged in the AdventureQuest Worlds storyline.
