The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally out, and it’s what gaming is abuzz about-NOT everyone worldwide seems to be joyous about that though. With its celebratory tweet, Nintendo gave its stand on the launch-a living dream of: “Let the games begin! 🎉 #NintendoSwitch2.” In the replies? Well, you will be in the middle of hype versus salt versus chaotic madness.
Good, vibrations first. And there are a few folks dancing with their toys now: Haunted Pixel Studio casually tweets, “Grabbed one at Walmart, no lines, no stress.” And HeartlessSlime? Showing off their brand-new Switch 2 like it was a trophy. And what is Tehmina Mudassar doing? Pure glee! “Leveling up already! Can’t wait to see what this one brings. 👾🔥”
But then you could spin it the other way. MalibuBob basically says that: “Yeah can’t afford shit right now. Thanks Trump,” blaming the political situation, while the others kept it short and snappy like freyr1998: “Switch 2 is trash 🗑.” BladeFree came up with a conspiracy theory about the system being bricked if the Nintendo management “doesn’t like you” or an employee goes rogue. Yikes.
Then, of course, there was the weird side. Patriot Angler somehow turned this gaming launch into a religious guilt trip: “Imagine if people were this excited for Jesus. You are all disappointments.” Meanwhile, notyourbuddy pointed out the conspicuous lack of a kid in the promo pics, which… okay, that is actually kind of funny.
Now, the price wars are back for another round. Kylianmb899 calls the Switch 2 “scam,” arguing it’s just overpriced for an outdated tech, especially outside of the U.S. Venomking100 is backing the price nightmare on the sudden price drops of the 3DS and Wii U. And GothicBertram? Still doubtful whether the price is worthy enough for them to even take up space in their room, at this point, if compared against how cheap the PS5 is.
And then, we have this: Paul F Wood posting a random dog picture that got a “Pretty doggo!” response. Because Twitter.
So what’s the verdict now? Nintendo Switch 2 is here and is causing much drama. A few gamers are hype; some are skeptic; a handful are just here for memes. Must-buy or hard pass, like it or not, people are talking about it, and Nintendo would make sure of that. So, anybody putting one on the list? And, then again… still waiting for that first price drop.
(Also, shoutout to the person who asked for Nintendo’s customer number because their delivery got returned. Hope you get your console, dude.)
