The Chester that Keighley mentioned was Chester Bennington, the former lead vocalist for Linkin Park who tragically passed away back in 2017 at the age of 41 as a result of a suicide. The Game Awards have been an annual event since 2014, and are hosted by Keighley. It presents awards to the year's top games, and 2020 will be no different. In fact, The Game Awards for 2020 might be more important than ever before, as games provided a much needed escape for a lot of people all over the world during the COVID-19 pandemic. The trailer was expertly cut by Keighley, featuring a whole mess of some of the best and brightest games that released in 2020. The two that seemed to get the most screen time were The Last of Us: Part 2 and Final Fantasy VII Remake, both of which are nominees for the coveted Game of the Year award. The other nominees, which include Ghost of Tsushima, Hades, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons are also in there. We even got the mobile game Among Us included as well. There were also a few upcoming games featured in the trailer, including Far Cry 6 and Resident Evil 8. It should be noted that the event typically showcases some trailers for new and exciting upcoming titles. It was recently confirmed that one of the new games that people will get a sneak peek at this year will be BioWare's Dragon Age 4. Of course, it's not know whether this will be an actual trailer or just a number of screenshots with some developers talking about it. The first look the world got at Dragon Age 4 was at The Game Awards two years ago. It was a small teaser trailer during the 2018 broadcast.
