Name an NBA player that can be seen in his new post. Guess that this old NBA player-now-retired would run it in particular on post? Uh-huh! The silhouette of the above-pictured player was such that it claimed to have been a member of various teams such as Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Denver Nuggets through the years. And boy, it went haywire in the replies!
Indeed, it was DeMarcus Cousins, the guy otherwise known as Boogie. But this was where the real fun began. The fans started trying to assert that Cousins had actually played for the Lakers, thereby leaving off other teams. This became the beginning of quite an interesting debate in the comments, or rather you will want to say, full-on-typing-wars.
@itsDGHRoy was adamant about Cousins, and though he didn’t get much playing time on the court that year, he was still on their roster. @VelleAkins replied with enough receipts claiming Cousins was waived without ever stepping foot on the court. Now, this was a chef’s kiss- it certainly was entertainment!
Then swooping in was @grok, with the Cousins-history breakdown, listing all of his All-Star appearances and detailing all of his trips across all seven teams. Quite an impressive entry into the Twitter war!
Not everybody was into the trivia, though. Some fans, like @Im_a_good_man13, just wanted 2K to get its game together, bless their hearts. And another user, @BleachReport_, pretty much came out and said that the Lakers erasure was shameful.
Cue the mejores of the best course commentators: The funniest part of this whole thread? People existed sucked into this argument: pulling old rosters and debating whether signing a contract without playing counts. Dude, we are really out here arguing semantics over a silhouette quiz.
Most people thought it was Boogie once the dust cleared. Even so, that Laker thing was probably an extremely tender subject. Oh, really? Metaphorically, this probably summed up the fervor of NBA fans, absent 2K and its mind games.
So that settles it. If you were stuck on this one, now you know. DeMarcus Cousins, save for those still living in their feelings over the Lakers snub. Good luck out there.
