Tonight is it. It’s the first Game 7 in the NBA Finals since 2016 and hype is in the air. A tweet asking for predictions by NBA 2K was met with a chaotic set of replies displaying hope and locker code demands, for there’s never really any missed opportunity for locker codes among gamers.
The tweet itself was simple, merely a reminder of Game 7 while inviting predictions from fans. But the replies? Oof. The masses were split. Some gamers were all in for the Pacers; others stood hard for OKC; some wanted NBA 2K to simply fix the game. Classic.
Among topmost replies, Ghostly! dared: “You better drop a code AFTER the game.” Honestly, that sounds pretty fair. Given NBA 2K’s practice of giving out locker codes during pertinent NBA moments, the players were already extra watchful. Dominic Powell wasn’t phase by the game, though, just rather issued a brash statement, calling NBA 2K “still ass.” Harsh, but hey, gamers never mince their words.
It was all the way crazy with predictions in all directions. Forgivesosa calls for a 119-110 Pacers win? That’s bold. The rest kept it short and sweet-just dropping “Pacers” or “OKC,” almost like throwing chips away at a casino. Then there was Keantuf, crying ever so deeply over how, the minute they select a team, that team just goes on and plays like absolute trash. So true.
What drew the greatest laugh? Those conspiracy theories. joker244 was sure big time that the Pacers’ victory had already been leaked. Straight afterwards, CS_Pitti just wanted to have a look at KD donned in a Rockets jersey. That hardly needs any further motivation. The Internet is surely an entangled jungle; the NBA 2K’s interaction fits right in.
But some distracted from the basketball. Setting their eyes on NBA 2K, they began to vent their grievances. Gabi G🅰️lo flatly stated to the devs: “fix the bugs” and stop making “below mid game 6 years in a row.” Ouch; couldn’t have said it better.
Meanwhile, others just wanted a code or two. What is an NBA 2K tweet if not for some asking for free VC? VincentHighsmi1 states, “We still getting a locker code,” obviously intended as a demand, not a question. Meanwhile, nexxCSG responded with a cool maybe: “Maybe a locker code,” full of hope for just that.
At the end of the day, whether you’re Team Pacers, Team OKC, or just here for locker codes, one thing is clear-that the NBA 2K community is passionate. Passionate about basketball, passionate about the game, and most importantly, passionate about free stuff. So, while they keep watching the championship take shape, maybe, just maybe—NBA 2K will surprise the community with a locker code. Or there’ll be even more roasting-that promise is guaranteed!
