Bandai Namco has released an announcement trailer for My Hero Academia: All’s Justice, and the reactions… well, let’s say the hero community is split. The ones who would be Plus Ultra with hype, whereas the others are giving it that Bakugo glare, as though he’s looking at Midoriya’s life choices.
The one released on PlayStation’s channel claims the story shall be brought to an end with your beloved heroes carrying out their final fight in the most explosive MHA game to ever exist, or so they say. But there’s one big thing: gamers have split opinions if this final act would be the ultimate, greater-than-anime-fighter standpoint or just another anime fighter that goes on sale in three months.
Hyped squad: People like Jay Bari with flames saying “Let’s goooo” have pledged cash for this on day one. Then there’s Sir Render, who confessed he might break his resistance to MHA games if the roster is right. CoolerJamster signs this thing is real: rumors state Class 1A AND legacy characters will all be playable. Plenty of quirks in an arena!
The doubters were loud, though. Yun ♡ said the fandom “graduated from MHA back in season 5,” while wimpdragon said it’ll be just “another fighting anime game that’ll be dead in a month.” Ouch. Even Coach Andrew was not shy telling the trailer “looks like every other MHA game,” whereas Flacoo gave the most cutting critique: “time for the yearly mid anime fighting game to release.” That one shows no mercy.
Visually, though? No one is going to argue that this trailer is bad. J_ROOST compares its speed and spectacle to “a Sonic fighting game on steroids,” and even the haters agree that the action looks crisp, with at least one of them, Binger, going on record saying he can’t stand Deku, but he loves All Might with Superman vibes. Then there are the Switch-2 trolls: Juankanda Juan jokes that the system “wouldn’t be able to handle this,” which is fair enough; have you SEEN those particle effects?
And now the real question: Is this really the finale? The tweet calls it the “climactic finale to the story,” but the gamers are side-eyeing that phrasing. Is it wrapping the game series? The anime arc? Someone’s entire existence? No one really knows, but SDagger02 is about to drop a declaration that it’ll be “beyond Plus Ultra,” so at least one person is buying into it.
I really have no idea what Donta Malcolm’s doing other than something else. It was kind of like “I’m playing this on my PS Portal at work before beating my kids at night,” which…sir?? CrunchyToastHD called him out immediately, and honestly, same. Internet wins again.
At the end of the day, My Hero Academia: All’s Justice is coming in with flashy combos and a stacked roster, but the gamers are in a split as to whether this is a must-play or just another anime arena brawler. The fact remains: The trailer has got people talking, whether they’re hype, or skeptic, or just in it for the mess. Plus Ultra or plus meh? We’ll find out sooner rather than later.
