The horror game Dead by Daylight is getting its 3.0 update and a true horror icon is joining in on the hunt. Dead by Daylight is a multiplayer horror game where one player is the killer and four people play as survivors trying to make it through the night without being captured and given a gruesome fate by the killer.

The game is known for having some pretty legendary horror villains as playable characters. Villains like Michael Meyers from Halloween, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street. Coming to the game to join those characters is none other than Ghostface from Scream.

Ghostface will be a character available for purchase in the game for $4.99. The character will come with its own set of abilities and a unique power called Nightshroud, which will give him the ability to go into a stealth mode and also takes away his terror radius.

The 3.0 update will also include a few bug fixes and additional features. One of the bug fixes is an adjusted reach animation so that the killer’s swing will match the appearance of the character’s range. There will also be new lobby music and the ability to rotate characters in the lobby.

Some map changes include new maze tiles for the Yamaoka Estate theme and removed RNG factor from the window setups in the rooms of Lery’s Memorial Institute so each small room will now spawn with the same window configuration.

The game’s Killer Clown has also received a pretty major perk that will add an extra bonus to how much you damage the generators after hooking a survivor. The damage has been increased by 25% and allows for an additional 60-second window to get to a generator and cause damage after hooking a survivor. While this added advantage will automatically be given to the Killer Clown, it is still able to be taught to the other killers in the game. An added benefit for survivors is that they will receive an additional 50 points for stunning a killer with a pallet.

Dead by Daylight was first released in June 2016, developed by Behavior Interactive and designed by Dave Richard. The game has since become a staple in household horror games and continues to make the game more intense and exhilarating for those who play either the killer or the survivors. Adding classic characters like Ghostface will only make the game that much more fun.
