The Elder Scrolls Online has launched a new event just for those who love to test their skills against other players. Midyear Mayhem has returned, and with it comes new rewards and challenges.

The PvP event takes place in the Alliance War, Battlegrounds, and Imperial City.

Many players enjoy the PvE content available during most events, but this is an excellent opportunity to test out new builds or challenge others.

The event is open to all players, but some areas are not available until players are at least level 10. Most players try to level up as much as possible since other players are often at a much higher level for PvP.

Players can join Midyear Mayhem by accepting the free quest “Details on the Midyear Mayhem” available in the in-game Crown Store. Gamers then go into the Alliance War many and travel to their faction’s main gate in Cyrodiil.

Located at the main game will be an NPC named Predicant Maera, who will give the player the quest “Midyear Mayhem.” The quest is often the same, so players who already completed it won’t need to do so again. After completing the quest, players will receive two items: Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity and a Pelinal’s Midyear Boon Box.

Using the scroll activates a two-hour, 100% buff to any Alliance Points earned from PvP activities, and XP won by defeating other players. If players lose the scroll, they can buy another for gold or points.

Three additional PvP campaigns will also be available for the duration of the event.

Midyear Mayhem also includes new collectibles and other awards besides from the Victor’s Laurel Wreath item. The awards include Legion Zero Outfit Style Pages, Standard-Bearer Emotes, and Pelinal’s Midyear Boon Boxes.

This event is one more opportunity to collect event tickets. While players may not want to redeem them for anything this time, up to twelve can be saved on their ESO account.

The event comes after the announcement of the newest expansion: Greymoor. The new expansion will open up the icy region of Western Skyrim with new characters and adventures. Greymoor launches on PC/Mac on May 18 and PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 2.

Midyear Mayhem is currently ongoing and won’t last forever. The event began on January 23 and lasts until February 4.
