Marvel Rivals dialled in a whole lot of mystery with KLYNTAR IS ABOUT TO IGNITE. No details, no trailer, just hype and a link leading to… nothing so far. And now, the gaming fraternity has been busy pixel-clipping every frame, dissecting every pixel, every response, every bit of storyline as if it were the Da Vinci Code of superhero games.

What is… Klyntar? For those not in the know, Klyntar is the symbiote homeworld: that means the place of origin for Venom and his nasty bunch. If it is about to ignite then something big has got to happen, maybe a new map or symbiote-themed event and/or a new playable character. Judging by the kind of reactions received, the player community seems to be heavily leaning towards the Jean Grey theory.

@NyleStylez literally screamed, “JEAN GREY IS COMING!!!! YESSSS!” Another one, @AlineeTTV, was begging: “JEANNNN please be you mother .” Ah, the hype is real. Not just Jean Grey: Blade stans also want theirs, with @bigdawgggQ_ demanding, “WHERE BLADE AT.” I guess this vampire hunter just cannot catch a break in release order.

Here lies the kicker-interesting in that some think this is mostly lore expansion rather than hero. @TomislavNikolov said, “So, instead of a new map, they’ll add more lore to an existing one.” Which… actually could be it, because the current map has this weird egg-looking thing that @TyrSim called out as a Jean Grey reference, saying, “They showing Jean Literally in an Egg on the Map. Looks like Jean coming in Month ;)”.

And then there’s a riot of character requests: @CFC_Hich wants Doom, @ThyWolfFenrir is screaming Battle-War Machine, and @AydenWilli70381 is begging for the Ultron skin.

Greatest mystery? Timing. Some players see Jean’s coming as now, while others like @bigdawgggQ_ are positive it is “not for a long time.” And all this while @MerlinTfz and @richelotthebest are having one heated argument about who is dropping first-the real question of importance, it seems.

One thing for sure, Marvel Rivals knows how to keep players on their toes! Whether it has Klyntar exploding in the game as a whole new zone or if Jean is landing at last or if it’s just another sneaky lore patch, hype has long left the station; and with Season 3 possibly just a breath away (thanks, @donteTheAPPY is already “getting fresh” for it), it could well be any moment now for the big reveal.

Buckle in, if Klyntar is going to be igniting then things are about to get messy. Symbiotes, Phoenix Force, and a very impatient non-gamer crowd, what could possibly go wrong?
