Sunshine Raccoon and Sunshine Squirrel costumes will be dropping on May 8 at 7 PM PDT, keeping early summer vibes going. Rocket’s get-up is pretty much one of those tropical tank-top visor combos because nothing really says “I’m here to wreck you” like a vacation-mode raccoon. Squirrel Girl is really going for the beach vibes, who knows, she might be practically digging enemies into the sand.
Clearly, this is not just about looks. Developers claim these skins present hazards beyond their appeal-they are hinting at literally setting the battlefield on fire. Now with “igniting the battlefield” in the tweet, we would assume fiery visual effects or summer-themed ability tweaks; either way, it’s a fabulous little spin on an already ridiculously chaotic superhero show.
