A new absolute banger has hit the Marvel Rivals community which seems to be in the act of dying at this moment. With such phenomenal skins being presented by the game, the date scheduled for their release is May 30th, UTC. The reactions of the community? Those who are calling it chaos are probably being too subtle.

The skins are just crazy beautiful to look at. The X-Tron Ultra-a-fine-mannered-evil-into-sleekness-look, never say bad words about the Age-of-Ultron personality, whereas Yggroot is the great nature under assault by the machine. The dramatics of the tweet, ‘Seek to claim the throne in all ages, realms, and worlds!’ just skyrocketed the hype, and, honestly, it should. Fans are giving the cop some flak.

But the reveal truly gave room to requests, demands, and confusions. Some players were begging for the Storm skins, those without crazy full-screen effects for a change. Others just wanted skins-Furiosa Cruises maybe knows a Jeff, and those would include an infected Ultron version of Magneto. The requests offer a lot of variety, but the vibe itself remains rather consistent: Give us more.

Then, the competitive spirit hits out. They just don’t care about the skins anymore. “Fix your horrendous competitive matchmaking,” one player said. The other one lashed out: “EOMM bullshit.” That…perhaps deserves an entirely different discussion. NetEase is under a hard hit, with the grim forecast perhaps killing the game by the end of this year if balance changes don’t come soon.

At least on the inside, they seem calm enough. “Finally, they made a good Groot skin,” a relieved player said. Another player called the X-Tron skin “awesome.” Well, that’s a pretty fair one.

So, really, the question should remain: will these skins really pull off the realization of hype when they come out? Will they mark that turning point or merely be great cosmetic flexes? Well, the question of all questions: will NetEase finally listen to feedback or pile on top of that matchmaking ire?

One thing we do know: Marvel Rivals really knows how to keep its people engaged. Whatever it is: hype, frustration, or downright confusion-the community is loud and willing. May 30th just has got to come soon!

So, mark those calendars, dust off those stick skills, and start hyping at least for the adornments.
