Marvel Rivals players, get those wallets ready because six bundles of fan-favorite skins will be making their limited-time run. The period from June 13 to June 20 will pop up as the second chance players have to buy some of the most coveted skins in the game. Considering the online reactions, it is eminent that this will go down as one great event for many.
The announcement was made on Twitter, where people came in to hype it up, snarkily comment, or express delight over the fact that they would not have to wait until winter for any of these skins. One Twitter user, @jilroberts, jokingly said, “so glad we didn’t have to wait till winter for it,” which… yeah, waiting sucks. So now, at least for these bundles, there is no wait.
So what is coming back? The actual contents of the bundles were not stated in the announcement, but the replying players wasted no time in naming their all-time favorites. The Magik and Rocket skins seem to be winners for sure, with several players including @Wittenburg98147 outrightly saying “W. I need the Magik and Rocket.” Meanwhile, @AnimeHippie_ was just glad that they could get the Cap skin that they missed out on the first time.
Not all are pleased. Some players, like @KyleM0876, flexed their true “OG” status by insisting that they’ve had these skins since the very first release. And honestly? Now and forever-going to limited-time cosmetics-people love feeling exclusive. But now more players in the general eye get a crack, so it is in a way a win for the majority.
There is a bit of confusion about the pricing. @sssierraxo put them in the spot: are they gonna go back for their original cost (and really overpriced price, I must add), or would they be discounted this time? No one has answered these questions yet, but there is hope with the prospect of a sale.
There was already some customer FOMO as @Dollytx_ was asking why their favorite return wasn’t included (Moonlit Scarlet Witch to be exact). Eh, always is something, isn’t it?
One thing is clear: Marvel Rivals knows how to make sure their players stay busy. Be it through the revival of old favorites, or something new to talk about, this game never fails to lure players into conversation. With the bundles available for just a week, all the grinding (or wallet opening) begins June 13.
So what is everyone buying? Will the Magik peeps rally with the Rocket stans, or maybe with the Cap crew or what? Regardless, persecution is one thing-that is on the players. A few are still holding that grudge for libros. (Yeah, I’m looking at you, @AnimeHippie_ and @Godwhoknows17.)
