The last game to launch was the remake Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town this Summer. Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town follows the story of a novice farmer. Inspired by their grandfather’s pioneering days, the novice decides to leave the city life behind and travel to Olive Town. When they arrive, they meet up with their grandfather’s old friend, Victor, who is now the town’s mayor. The novice decides to make their grandfather’s dreams come to life and rebuild the farm. It’s hard work to plant crops, make them thrive, but also raise several animals. There are also many buildings that need to be rebuilt. The work of a farmer is never done, but fortunately, the novice isn’t alone. The small town of Olive Town is located on a port on the tip of a peninsula, is quiet yet filled with lively characters. They’re all willing to help but may also need some extra help. The game adds many new events, so players will get to know them even better than previous games. The overview video also shows how much customization there is to do in the game. Almost everything requires additional resources. With a small set of tools, players can travel into the nearby forest to collect required materials to repair their buildings or craft new items. That includes decorating the farm and creating a nice home for the livestock. There are plenty of activities to do outside of farming. Players can participate in events like dog racing, fishing, or getting to know the residents of Olive Town. The title contains several new bachelors and bachelorettes, so players can choose a special person to romance and raise a family with. Having a romantic interest also allows players to take part in additional romance-related events.
