The latest League of Legends patch is focused on balance, and they’re making a pretty good number of changes to make that balance work. They’ve buffed 11 champions, nerfed 5, and made adjustments to 1. We’ll be discussing the buffs here, as there’s quite a few changes to talk about.

Let’s get into it! Riot has made the following changes:

  • Anivia – Anivia’s R has gotten a small buff, changing the duration of the Iced debuff from 2 seconds to 3 seconds.
  • Draven – Draven’s buff is designed to help experienced Draven players who know his mechanics. His Blood Rush now offers a higher amount of movement speed, buffed by 0% on all levels.
  • Hecarim – Hecarim’s buff is meant to encourage players to take more risk with max-range engages. His ult will now fear for up to 2 seconds, based on distance traveled.
  • Kayn – Kayn’s alteration is minor, moving his increase in orb gain speed by 15% at 10-13 minutes.
  • Kindred – Lamb and Wolf have a few buffs to get them back into playable territory. Wolf’s Frenzy will now restore more health at lower levels, with Lamb’s Respite healing considerably more. Their base attack damage growth and mana regen have both also been increased.
  • Morgana –  Support Morgana gets a buff this time around, with her Black Shield now shielding for more across all levels and a slight movement speed increase.
  • Ryze – Ryze’s base mana regen growth has increased, as well as the W of his damage at later levels.
  • Soraka – Soraka has seen a buff to Starcall, which now has an increased movement speed bonus as well as an increase to the total rejuvenation heal.
  • Twisted Fate – AP Twisted Fate sees a considerable buff with this patch. His Blue Card has had its AP ratio almost doubled, going from 0.5 to 0.9. Red Card has also been increased from 0.5 to 0.6.
  • Urgot – There are few times in League of Legends history when Urgot hasn’t needed a buff. He has had his Q’s slow duration increased, while his E’s stun duration has also been increased. This buff to his crowd-control abilities should bring him to a better spot with chases, escapes, and team fights.
  • Veigar – Veigar has received, to quote Riot, “Smol buffs for the smol boy.” His base attack damage and attack damage growth have both been buffed, along with his armor. His Q also has had its base damage increased by 10 at all ranks.
  • Xerath –  Xerath, finally, has had buffs to increase his sharpshooting abilities. His W will now do significantly more damage towards the center, while his ult has also had its damage buffed at the second and third ranks.

And those are all of the buffs in this patch! If you see your main up here, congratulations! If not, hopefully knowing what’s coming to the Rift gives you the edge you need to beat the buffs!
