Konami has issued a gigantic reminder concerning its Press Start event tomorrow, so the feeling has to be real. The presentation boasts extended gameplay for Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater and Silent Hill f, the two hottest projects in the franchise’s most recent resurrection. The show begins at 6 a.m. PDT / 9 a.m. EDT and streams on Konami’s Twitch and YouTube channels.

And I’m sure you’d agree: When’s the last time Konami thought it was so great as to just give away one of its legendary IPs? Like a king’s ransom just to see the listings for Metal Gear and Silent Hill, people listen to what Konami had to say. The very existence of the live Twitter was a complete mess, setting the stage for uncertainty, agitation, and sporadic distant cries from franchises long laid to rest.

One user seemed to prod Konami a little: “Hey, you own Castlevania, right?”-as if really, the memo wasn’t needed. Then someone got serious about Bloody Roar’s return just willing to trade half of his own lifeforce. That’s dedication. Or maybe it’s simply lack of sleep. Either way, the vibe that came from those responses was something else.

Metal Gear fans are hoping for some kind of news on Master Collection Vol. 2; Silent Hill fans want Turkish support and Born From a Wish DLC. From there, we’ve got insane requests for a Konami Arcade Collection including X-Men and The Simpsons. I mean, that would be dope.

But the real question is: What is Konami really going to put on the table? What will tops be exclusive and extended gameplay for Snake Eater? But perhaps there might be more? Perhaps a release date? Perhaps a shadow-drop demo? The Silent Hill f teaser already sent the public into a frenzy-the footage from there would launch the entire horror community into seismic upheaval.

And for all those Switch 2 fans, there have already been so many replies asking if these games will be on Nintendo’s next-gen console. Konami hasn’t uttered a single word as of this hashtag rally-antilantic hype train.

Back to setting those alarms. From Snake’s jungle debauchery all the way to the fresh nightmares of Silent Hill, tomorrow’s event will be huge. Or this could just be your average 10-minute trailer followed by radio silence. You know what I mean.

Make sure, in any case, that your snacks are out, hype levels are top-tier, and prayers be sent forth, that this generation does not wind up being blue-balled with another “coming soon” tip. The whole gaming world has got the answering look. And if Bloody Roar does not get called now, someone will start rioting.
