A really insane tweet was dropped by CD Projekt Red, with Cyberpunk 2077 fans going wild. In an alternate timeline—May 19, 2025, to be exact—the legendary rockerboy of Night City, Kerry Eurodyne, indeed released his precious solo album named Second Conflict. Such lore implications turned out to be, chef’s kiss.
The tweet also detailed that there was danger and a side of action in his solo career after the break-up of Samurai and that Silverhand Johnny just vanished, drama from start to finish, Night City-style! The reply section messed that up with theories, memes, and merchandising requests. Some even joked that Arasaka might have something to do with Johnny’s disappearance (honestly, when has it not been a good assumption?).
One fan simply wrote,”When are we gonna get that third-person perspective update?”- priorities, guys! Another wants action figures,”We need an action figure 😢,”while another sarcastically claimed, “Kerry’s definitely not gonna sound the same without him, rip Silverhand.” Ouch!
Others weren’t so happy. One choomba went on to call Kerry a “sell-out,” relegating his solo career as the “downfall into a fading chrome husk of previous glory.” Oof. Others were just hyped about the prospects of vinyl and said,”But fr drop vinyls of Samurai.” Let’s not forget an honest confessor who said they “could very well be a groupie for Kerry if he were real.” Same.
The tweet stirred up memories of the band; some fans even argued as to whether Kerry could ever outdo what he did with the band. One pessimist said, “No way it’s as good as his stuff with Samurai.” Another cracked, “Isn’t that the old guy US Cracks did a song with? My grandpa used to listen to him.” Savage.
CD Projekt Red really knows how to hit the fans right in the feels. The tweet was an Easter egg about the game’s deeper lore, where Kerry’s saga is arguably the most tragic yet fan-favored. The messy love story between him and Johnny, the struggle with fame, and the whole solo saga away from the shiny life of Samurai is what makes the world of Cyberpunk 2077 living and breathing.
Come to think of it, Kerry needs all the spotlight possible. Real album (Spotify, are you listening?), merch, or a big bigger DLC scheme about post-Samurai days of the guy; the hunger is real. Also, a fan asked to drop Cyberpunk music into Fortnite Festival—because, really, why not?
Until then, though, all we’ll be doing is speculating about the sound of Second Conflict in that alternate 2025 timeline. Perhaps one day, it will be a reality, thanks to CDPR. Until then, Chippin’ In is blasting loud as if we are inside Afterlife, drowning our doubts in synth cocktails.
Long live Kerry Eurodyne—although somewhere far in cyberspace, Johnny Silverhand’s ghost is probably rolling his eyes.
