Realm Royale, one of the more popular titles by Hi-Rez Studios, might be coming to the Nintendo Switch if the claim of some data miners is to be believed.

Hi-Rez Studios already released Smite and Paladins on the Nintendo Switch, much to the delight of fans.

According to the report, this is not the last fans can expect from the studio and the Nintendo console. Data miners stumbled upon the words “Merge Nintendo crown,” and they took this to mean that Hi-Rez Studios will drop another game on the Nintendo Switch.

They then concluded that the only title in the list of games under the studio that will ideally provide a good gaming experience for fans would be the Realm Royale.

Realm Royale already debuted on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One. There was no word from Hi-Rez when fans were asking to bring the game to the Switch. Fortnite is already on the Switch so accommodating the Realm Royale wouldn’t be too much of a stretch.

While there’s no confirmation from both the studio and Nintendo, it should be noted however that data miners also leaked the information about Smite and Paladins being added to the Nintendo Switch family even before the move was officially announced. So this information should not just be dismissed as a mere rumor.

Realm Royale has a decent following on Steam, registering a 24-hour peak of around 10,000 players. The all-time peak for the game was almost 105,000. In the last 30 days, the game had an average of over 3,000 players. In June of 2018, it had an average of 38,000 players. That was also the month when the game registered its record peak.

Realm Royale was meant to be a mode in Paladins. But it took a life of its own owing to the popularity of the game. The gameplay mechanics are similar to Fortnite as well as the PUBG. The main difference, however, is the look of the game.

Hi-Rez made an effort to capture the essence of a medieval battle royale. The player can team up with three others to make up a squad. They will then try to take out all the competition in a scorch-earth type of battle. They can also choose the character according to the class, which will be material to how they play.

Keep posted for any update on the addition of Realm Royale on the Nintendo Switch.
